PUPS OF THE GALLERIE MAISON ROUGE

ASIA AND MILO- Pups of the Gallerie Maison Rouge....They're a part of the gallerie as it is my home as well as my gallery, but they are very sweet and affectionate puppies and they won't be so much in the gallery area when it opens in June....but it's nice and sunny in there in the morning so Asia might have a bit of an issue with that!

ASIA - extremely cuddly and has the softest coat and ears...snuggles his head into you and closes his eyes when he's sleepy...needs attention constantly...likes to jump up cause he gets very excited about everything, but we're working on that.....he's basically under yout feet at all times and is in need of love 24/7...but aren't we all?MILO - goofy and makes goofy noises, very big, furry, soft and cuddly. He loves to play and pounce(could be confused with a giant cat sometimes), but is very afraid of loud noises ...loves to be outside and he is the nicest, sweetest dog you will ever meet!

PAINTING IN THE COUNTRY GARDENS IN NEW GLASGOW

Painting in The Country Gardens of the Island Preserve Co. in New Glasgow....The day started off a little rough....The wind blew my painting in the water and as I held my hat and tried to catch the painting, I threw my palette and it somehow got paint all over the back of me...including in my hair...not sure how that happened...but luckily the wind subsided and I had only just started my painting...so it didn't ruin too much....great story to tell though...

The sky was clear for the first half of the day...

Then the rain came down, but it was still so beautiful and I only needed one hand to paint with anyways! It would have been wiser to be painting in oils I suppose...but at least the rain kept my paint from drying up on me....my palette was a big puddle of color by the end of the day....beautiful!

Debbie Brady took this picture and sent it in to the Buzz...Look for it under Sightings in The September Buzz!
The final result....and the sun came out again...just in time to enjoy the other artist's art work as well...

I had intended on painting the beautiful water lilies, but I loved the simplicity of the lily pads themselves and the reflection of the sky in the water gave the painting what it needs to stand out....I think.

This painting was a result of day two....I found some beautiful Hydrangeas to paint! These two days were a first for me...I discovered that I love painting on-site and it is possible to paint small paintings...although I still love big, bold paintings! And I have Bruce McNaughton and Debbie Brady to thank! What a great cause and a great two days!! I can't wait to participate next year!
